During the 2nd and the 4th of Dec, 2014, project owner delegation of SINO IRON visited Robert Nyblad GmbH, a factory located in Papenburg, Germany. They were accompanied by representatives of Project Logistics Branch (Manager of Overseas Agent Management Department Ms. Liu Lu and Capt. Huang Qingrong from Captain Group). Three parties gathered together and had efficient communications on details of transportation, packing and lifting of stators, which SIEMENS (Germany) purchased.
In order to avoid package damage and leaking in previous shipments, Project Logistics Branch brought up with more specific solutions on package, ensuring packaging intensity meet sea worthy requirements and in compliance with AQIS.
Safety of lifting is another big concern. Knowing the difficulty and potential risks of repeated lifting, Project Logistics Branch provided professional opinions on safe lifting and stowage condition, especially addressing protrusion of the equipment itself.
The trip to Germany can be deemed as extensive service of LMSC for SINO IRON Project. Project Logistics Branch was involved at an early stage where it assisted project owner with package design and in-filed examination on cargo package. These all lead to more secured and smooth transportation of stators to jobsite in Australia. This trip fully explains the company’s extensive service forwards and ensures thorough logistics operations afterwards.
