Sino Iron Phase II 15th Voyage Successfully Loaded and Sailed from Changshu

On the morning of Dec. 11th 2014, the 15th Voyage of Sino Iron Phase II, carrying 964 items, 14,858.31 cbm bulk cargo, slowly sailed out of Changshu Changjiang International Port for Port Hedland. The vessel is estimated to arrive at her destination on Dec. 21st.

The loading operations lasted for 6 days. During the shipment arranging period, the consignors had changed the cargo amount for five times, adding more than 5000 cbm to the total volume, which to some extent, causes us challenges to appoint the transport vessel and collect cargo to port. However, based on the experience gained from previous shipment, our company made quick response every time cargo volume changed with a reasonable stowage plan. In addition, our company’s personnel stationed at the port three days before the vessel berthed, examining and verifying cargo’s AQIS status, packing reliability and lifting plan. By taking the above measures, we not only secured the safe and sound loading and discharging of the cargo, but also avoiding the potential custom clearance problems from AQIS.

As the LMSC of this project, Project Logistics Branch will spare no effort to translate the trust gained from the project owner into project cargo’s safe and efficient transportation. Meanwhile, we will also summarize the experience on Sino Iron Project and utilize it on other projects in our company, therefore upgrading the service level of the entire company.
